If you open the System Preferences menu and go to Sound, you will find Soundflower among all other devices. Fortunately, Soundflower can be set as the default sound devices for the Mac itself. In certain applications, changing the sound devices is not possible. For example, if you want to record an audio track, you have to select Soundflower as your media player's output device and as the input device for a recording application. If you wish to send sounds from one application to another, you only need to select Soundflower as the default output device in the source application and as the default input device in the second one.
